Bubled

It's funny how 'home' transitions.
I am home now, but in moments when nostalgia brings me back to 3 months ago, and I become 3 months younger, I yearn for the home that was you.

This makes me brave.
It means that I'll be ok, wherever, whenever.

tired eyes

ok so hannah and i decided to pull an 'all-nighter' and not sleep at all since we would be catching a flight back to singapore today @ 2pm and we wanted to readjust ourselves to singapore time.

so we spent the time away at calhouns doing absolutely nothing productive.
we somehow ended up with a backgammon board (courtesy of the staff at calhouns).
unfortunately, hannah and i both don't know how to play backgammon so we ended up playing reversi and makeshift checkers.

yes it was strange.

anyway guys thanks for all the good memories, i can safely say that hannah and i leave for singapore feeling very blessed and loved by all of you.

i am going to miss you guys.

have a good summer all.

p.s. dj... i guess there are two doors (not in vancouver)that you won't be showing up at anytime soon on your training schedule.

tom: you rock. i have never been so well pampered before til the dinner at your place. thanks man!! oh and have fun turning 21 :)

Our story

So. We move out on the 27th of april. Like every normal gage resident.
only.. unlike every normal gage resident, we decide to sneak back in again at 1230am on april 28th.
We had legit reasons. Seriously.
no, we weren't attempting to be little chinese refugees... though that's what we were probably mistaken for.
So anyway, we just needed a place to spend the night prior to leaving for manitoba. Sarah's place was a little crowded with family so we decided to crash at East 1st, since Deej would still be around to let us in the back door.
Everything was actually going well, we didn't even have to sleep in the living room as we conveniently forgot to lock our doors when we left east 1st, meaning we got to sleep in our own beds again, fluffy pillow and all.
It was sweet.

But then morning came, along with some ... visitors.
Housing. Yes.
Scene: Hannah in bed sleeping, Shu in washroom, DJ stalling time.
So I hear voices from the other quad and didn't think much of it since... we always hear voices from the other quad. Till Deej runs over, pounds on the door and screams, "you have to get UP and OUT right now." Oh dear.
can you say "panic attack?"
Ok, i was too fazzled to really panic. But I was in the process of getting up and getting out when i heard housing voices outside my door. I opened my door to see two very confused young men peering down at me. I promptly shut the door without a word.
at the same time, i ran out of the washroom, grabbed my jeans from my room, hurriedly declaring that i had already moved out and that they could check my room if they wanted to; before dashing back into the washroom to hide again.
They were pounding on my door, demanding, quite befuddledly, for the 'strange girl' to leave as she 'didn't live here anymore'. I'll bet.
Thank God, DJ knew the guys.

So we packed and had breakfast at Sophies.

Hannah
Shu
PS. Deej, we owe you big, Dustin we miss you.
